Commercial Property Manager - Retail

Indianapolis, IN (Northwest Side) | Full-Time | In-Person

We're looking for an experienced Commercial Property Manager with recent Retail Commercial Real Estate experience who understands the unique demands of neighborhood shopping centers, retail strip centers, and mixed‑use developments.

This is NOT an office, medical, residential, HOA, or multi-family property management position.

If your background has primarily been managing apartment communities, HOA, single-family homes,office buildings, medical office, industrial, or corporate campuses, this position will is not be the right fit.

We're looking for someone who already understands retail tenants, CAM reconciliations, storefront operations, high‑traffic retail environments, tenant relations, leasing support, and the fast pace of neighborhood shopping centers.

What You'll Do

You’ll oversee a portfolio of retail and mixed‑use commercial properties throughout the Indianapolis area while partnering with ownership to continue improving and repositioning assets.

Responsibilities include:

• Manage daily operations of retail shopping centers
• Build strong relationships with tenants
• Coordinate vendors and capital improvements
• Prepare and manage operating budgets
• Review financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement
• Partner with leasing on vacancies, renewals, and tenant transitions
• Conduct regular property inspections
• Resolve tenant concerns professionally and quickly
• Monitor delinquency, collections, and lease compliance
• Help execute strategies that increase occupancy and property value
• Use technology to manage work efficiently and communicate proactively

Required Qualifications

• Recent Retail Commercial Property Management experience (required)
• Experience with strip centers, shopping centers, or mixed‑use retail developments
• Strong financial and budgeting skills
• Experience reading leases and enforcing lease obligations
• Comfortable using property management software and modern technology
• Valid driver's license
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to travel throughout the local portfolio
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
