Commercial Property Manager – Retail & Office Portfolio
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Property Manager to join a growing real estate team overseeing a portfolio of retail and office properties. This is a great opportunity for someone who is confident managing their responsibilities independently while also working collaboratively with an experienced executive team.
The ideal candidate has held a Commercial Property Manager title and brings direct, hands-on experience managing commercial properties. You should be comfortable interacting directly with property owners and third-party clients, understanding property financials, and taking ownership of the day-to-day performance of your portfolio.
What You’ll Do as the Commercial Property Manager
- Manage the day-to-day operations of a portfolio of retail and office properties
- Serve as a primary point of contact for property owners, clients, tenants, vendors, and contractors
- Build strong relationships and provide responsive, professional communication
- Prepare, review, and understand property financial reports
- Assist with budgets, operating expenses, variance reporting, CAM reconciliations, and other property-level financial responsibilities
- Monitor property performance, expenses, contracts, and vendor activity
- Coordinate repairs, maintenance, capital projects, and tenant needs
- Conduct property/site visits as needed
- Review invoices and ensure expenses are properly allocated
- Work independently while collaborating closely with the executive team
- Identify issues proactively and take ownership of finding solutions
- Support the continued growth of the portfolio and organization
What We’re Looking For in a Commercial Property Manager
- Previous Commercial Property Manager title and direct commercial property management experience required
- Experience managing retail and/or office properties
- Strong understanding of commercial property financials and reporting
- Experience working directly with owners and/or third-party management clients
- Knowledge of budgets, CAM reconciliations, operating expenses, and variance reports
- Strong tenant and vendor relationship skills
- Organized, proactive, and comfortable working with limited supervision
- Ability to prioritize multiple properties, projects, and deadlines
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Team-oriented approach with the ability to collaborate effectively with executive leadership
The position offers a nice balance of office-based property management and site visits when needed, along with direct exposure to ownership, clients, and executive leadership.
