Commercial Project ManagerA commercial general contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee ground-up and renovation projects in the commercial retail sector. This includes grocery store remodels, retail buildouts, rollouts, and tenant improvement work. This role offers consistent work, long-term stability, and a strong career path within commercial construction.Key Responsibilities:Manage commercial projects from preconstruction through closeout, including grocery, retail, and TI workServe as the primary contact for clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendorsReview contracts, scopes, and project requirements to ensure complianceOversee subcontractor procurement, scopes, pricing, and contract executionManage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and material delivery schedulesIdentify, price, and track potential change orders before proceeding with workReview and approve monthly owner and subcontractor billingsMaintain and update project schedules with field teams and subcontractorsMonitor budgets, track forecasting, and issue corrective actions when neededLead coordination meetings and OAC meetings; distribute notes and action itemsSupport field teams with procurement, logistics, and issue resolutionEnsure safety documentation, toolbox talks, and daily reports are completedAssist with permitting, inspections, and regulatory requirementsComplete project closeout including punch lists, warranties, manuals, and final billingCommunicate delays, schedule impacts, and expectations to all stakeholdersRequirements:5+ years of Project Manager experience with a commercial general contractor3+ years managing commercial, retail, or grocery construction projectsAbility to run multiple projects at the same timeStrong understanding of commercial construction methods, sequencing, and schedulingExperience coordinating occupied environments, shutdowns, and night workProficiency with Microsoft Office; project management platforms preferredAbility to read drawings, specifications, and retail construction scopesStrong communication, leadership, and negotiation skillsAbility to navigate active jobsites with proper PPEValid driver's license and reliable transportation for job visitsCompensation + Benefits:Competitive salary based on experiencePerformance incentivesMedical, dental, and vision benefits401(k) with company matchVehicle allowance and fuel cardCompany-provided phone, laptop, and tabletPaid vacation, holidays, and sick time
