We are seeking energetic and detail-oriented Metal Framers to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and metal framing systems across commercial projects. Your expertise will ensure that structures are built to precise specifications, adhering to safety standards and quality expectations.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute metal stud framing installation.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install metal framing components using hand tools and power tools such as drills, saws, and screw guns.
- Install drywall panels on walls and ceilings with precision, ensuring proper alignment and secure fastening.
- Finish drywall surfaces through mudding (joint compound application), taping, texturing, sanding, and repairing damaged areas for a smooth final appearance.
- Apply finishing techniques including drywall texturing, plastering, caulking, and trim carpentry to achieve the desired aesthetic.
- Install fixtures such as doors, windows, moldings, and other hardware in accordance with project specifications.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials while adhering strictly to construction workplace safety regulations and safety protocol adherence.
- 7+ years of experience.
- Proven construction experience with a focus on drywall installation, metal framing, or related trades.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and interpreting technical drawings for accurate project execution.
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes and understanding of construction plans.
- Proficiency with hand tools (e.g., hammers, screwdrivers) and power tools (e.g., drills, saws) used in framing and drywall work.
- Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations including OSHA standards or equivalent safety protocols.
- Experience with drywall mudding, taping, texturing (including stucco), repair work (water damage restoration), and plastering techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently on construction sites while following all safety guidelines.
- Additional skills such as flooring installation, fixture installation, mold remediation experience or remodeling are considered a plus.
