After generations of service and growth, we never lose focus of our three core values - Caring, Commitment, and Integrity.Position Summary: The Commercial Loan Underwriter evaluates the credit worthiness of businesses and determines their ability to repay loans and lines of credit, including those used to purchase equipment, real estate and other goods.
Their responsibilities include developing financial profiles and investigating credit histories. The Commercial Loan Underwriter will also conduct a cash flow analysis determining how much cash and liquid assets a business has on hand with how much it owes. This position also prepares the loan material for presentation to the Business Loan Committee.Responsibilities:Review and interpret commercial loan requests, including financial statements, tax returns, credit reports, trust agreements, operating agreements, and other pertinent dataConduct capitalization rate analyses and other collateral valuation methods to determine loan exposureAssess borrower prepared pro-forma financial statements and compare to industry standardsPrepares financial spreads and assess borrower's ability to repay by evaluating financial metrics including UCA cash flow analysisParticipating in site visits with Relationship Managers as needed to support the underwriting functionPrepare comprehensive Credit Approval Memos detailing risk factors, compliance with lending policies, and recommendations for approval, denial, or revisionUtilizes loan approval authority up to $1MMAssess the risk and issues credit recommendation of all treasury applications including remote deposit capture and ACH servicesPresent Credit Approval Memos to Commercial Loan Committee when applicableMaintain a thorough understanding of Telhio underwriting guidelines, procedures, and policy to ensure loan applications are appropriately structured and credit worthyProactively recommend changes to Underwriting guidelines and procedures to team's supervisorEnsure adherence and compliance to federal and state regulations including SBA SOPEvaluate economic trends and conduct market analyses to evaluate the viability of businessesAll other tasks as needed to support the business lineQualifications:Bachelor's degree Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Business/Administration, Management, Statistics.
