Job Overview

Duties

• Manage commercial and business litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, legal memoranda, and other substantive filings.
• Conduct legal research and contribute to litigation strategy.
• Manage written discovery and document production.
• Take and defend depositions, depending on experience.
• Prepare for and attend hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and other professionals.
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff on domestic and cross-border matters.

Requirements

• Active member in good standing of The Florida Bar.
• Substantive litigation experience, preferably in commercial or business litigation.
• Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills.
• Experience with pleadings, motions, discovery, and case management.
• Strong professional judgment and attention to detail.
• Ability to take ownership of matters while working collaboratively with a team.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Florida.
