Commercial Litigation AttorneyAscension Global Staffing & Executive Search, a Hispanic-owned, women-led national recruiting firm, is working with a boutique, mid-sized law firm client to identify a Commercial Litigation Attorney.A growing, entrepreneurial law firm is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate with 4–6 years of experience to join its Newark office. This role is ideal for an attorney looking for meaningful responsibility, direct client interaction, and the opportunity to take ownership of matters in a collaborative, less hierarchical environment. Associates are given the opportunity to manage cases with partner support while developing their own practice.Key ResponsibilitiesManage commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution with appropriate partner guidanceDraft and argue motions, including motions to dismiss, summary judgment, and discovery-related motionsConduct and defend depositions, including fact and expert witnessesHandle all aspects of discovery, including strategy, document review, and productionCommunicate directly with clients and provide practical, business-oriented legal adviceParticipate in mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trial preparationWork closely with partners while also operating independently on day-to-day case managementQualificationsJ.D.

from an accredited law schoolAdmission to the New Jersey Bar (New York Bar a plus)Minimum of 4–6 years of commercial litigation experience within a law firmExperience handling business disputes, including contract, partnership, and/or financial-related litigationStrong writing, analytical, and organizational skillsComfortable taking ownership of cases and working in a less hierarchical environmentWork EnvironmentHybrid schedule (typically 3 days in-office)Entrepreneurial and collaborative culture with direct access to partnersOpportunity for growth, increased responsibility, and client-facing experienceSalary range: $200-230K depending on experience
