Hybrid Contract Staffing and Recruiting

Commercial & Business Litigation Attorney | Charlotte, NC | Hybrid | $160,000–$230,000 DOE

Plenty of firms say they’re growing. This one has spent the last few years doing it, and now it’s building out commercial litigation.

They’re making a few hires, and the seat could be yours.

I’m Clark Pollins at Distinct Recruitment, recruiting for a nationally ranked, full-service, mid-market firm with its leadership based in Charlotte. They want litigators who’ll help decide what this department becomes.

Why that kind of growth matters to you

  • A growing firm brings in new clients, and clients have disputes. The base this team serves keeps widening.
  • Full-service means transactional colleagues across the firm who can send matters your way.
  • A department in build mode needs people to take the hearing, run the deposition and lead the file. That’s room you can step into.
  • The firm’s leadership is in Charlotte, the city you’d work in. You won’t sit in a satellite office waiting on decisions from somewhere else.

The cases

  • Contract and commercial disputes for businesses across the region
  • Shareholder, partnership and LLC disputes
  • Business torts, fraud, UDTPA claims, and restrictive covenant and trade secret matters
  • Banking and financial services litigation
  • Construction and real estate disputes
  • Insurance coverage disputes, class actions and arbitration
  • State and federal court, including the North Carolina Business Court where the case calls for it

You don’t need experience in all of these. Solid commercial litigation in a few is plenty.

Two levels, one range

  • 3+ years of commercial or business litigation experience, from a firm, government or in-house setting.
  • Closer to $160,000: mid-level associates who’ve handled discovery, written dispositive motions and taken depositions.
  • Up to $230,000: senior associates ready to run cases with light supervision and help develop the attorneys around them.
  • North Carolina licensed, or able to become so.

The practical bits

  • 1,800–1,900 billable hours.
  • Three days a week in the office. The rest is yours to work wherever suits you.
  • Easy to reach from across the Charlotte metro, including SouthPark, Ballantyne, Huntersville, Concord, Matthews and Fort Mill.
