Commercial Litigation Associate

Overview

• Foley & Lardner is seeking an Associate for their Commercial Litigation Practice Group in Salt Lake City.
• Candidates should have 4-6 years of business litigation experience (Classes of ).
• Must be an active member of the Utah Bar in good standing, or eligible for timely admission as a condition of employment.
• Requires substantial experience with complex business litigation matters in both state and federal courts.
• Key responsibilities include conducting and managing written and document discovery, and drafting pleadings, motions, and other court filings.
• Further responsibilities involve conducting and defending depositions, preparing witnesses, appearing for status conferences, and arguing motions.
• A demonstrated ability as a persuasive legal writer and oral advocate is essential.
• Experience with settlement conferences, negotiations, and trial preparation is preferred.
• Comfort with direct interaction with partners and clients is expected.
• Strong academic credentials and a JD from an ABA-approved law school are required.
• The expected salary range for this position is $290,000 - $350,000.
