Position Overview
This role offers a blend of commercial litigation, construction litigation, and other business-related disputes within a collaborative and growing practice. Attorneys in this position will work on active litigation matters involving business owners, contractors, developers, lenders, and commercial clients across a variety of industries. The position provides substantial hands‑on responsibility, direct client interaction, and meaningful involvement throughout the litigation process. While some matters may involve real estate or development-related disputes, the primary focus of the role is commercial and construction-related litigation.
Responsibilities may include:
- Managing commercial and business disputes through various phases of litigation in state and federal courts
- Handling construction-related disputes involving contractors, developers, project owners, subcontractors, and related business entities
- Drafting pleadings, motions, written discovery, and other litigation-related filings
- Participating in depositions, hearings, mediations, and overall case strategy
- Working directly with clients to provide practical, business-oriented legal guidance throughout the course of litigation
- Assisting with disputes involving contracts, development projects, lending relationships, and other commercial matters
- Collaborating with team members while maintaining appropriate ownership over assigned matters
Qualifications
- 3+ years of litigation experience preferred, particularly in commercial litigation, business litigation, or construction litigation
- Experience handling core litigation responsibilities, including drafting motions, conducting discovery, taking depositions, and attending hearings
- Strong writing, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to independently manage assignments and communicate directly with clients
- Experience with construction-related or real estate-related disputes is a plus, but not required
