Commercial Litigation Associate

We are working with a well-established New York City law firm seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation Associate with a minimum of 5 years of complex commercial litigation experience.

Experience involving real estate-related litigation and construction disputes is strongly preferred.

The ideal candidate will have substantial hands-on litigation experience and the ability to independently manage significant aspects of complex commercial disputes.

Responsibilities:

• Drafting and arguing substantive motions
• Taking and defending depositions
• Managing all phases of discovery, including document production and e-discovery
• Preparing witnesses for hearings, trials, and arbitrations
• Participating in trials and evidentiary hearings
• Negotiating settlements and developing effective dispute resolution strategies
• Working directly with clients on litigation strategy and case management

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of complex commercial litigation experience
• Experience with real estate and construction-related disputes preferred
• Strong knowledge of New York civil procedure
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Demonstrated experience handling depositions, motion practice, and discovery
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple matters in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
• Admission to the New York Bar

Compensation: $220,000 - $250,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
