Our Am Law 100 client is seeking a Complex Commercial Litigation Associate to join its highly regarded litigation practice. Role Overview
The associate will assist in all phases of complex commercial litigation while working closely with experienced litigators on sophisticated matters.
Responsibilities may include:
- Managing commercial litigation matters from case inception through resolution
- Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery responses
- Conducting legal research and preparing strategic analyses
- Managing written discovery and document review
- Taking and defending depositions
- Assisting with hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation
- Collaborating with clients and litigation teams to develop effective case strategies
This position offers significant hands-on experience with complex litigation while providing strong mentorship and professional development.
Candidate Profile
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
- 3-5 years of complex commercial or business litigation experience
- Strong experience drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery responses
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Experience managing case files and litigation strategy
- Deposition and trial preparation experience preferred
- Strong advocacy and communication skills
- Excellent academic credentials
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced practice
