Commercial Litigation Associate

A well-established regional law firm with more than 120 attorneys is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate with 3-5 years of experience to join its growing litigation practice.

Location: Lancaster, York, Gettysburg, PA | Columbia or Hunt Valley, MD | Hybrid

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated litigator who wants a broad commercial practice, meaningful case responsibility, direct client exposure, and long-term growth within a collaborative midsize platform.

The Practice

• Breach of contract and business disputes
• Shareholder, partnership, and ownership disputes
• Restrictive covenant and unfair competition matters
• Commercial real estate disputes
• Business torts
• Corporate and closely held business litigation
• Injunctive and equitable relief
• Pre-litigation counseling and dispute resolution
• Discovery, depositions, and motion practice
• Arbitration, mediation, and other alternative dispute resolution

Associates will work closely with experienced litigators while taking increasing ownership of matters and developing direct relationships with clients.

Ideal Background

• 3-5 years of commercial or general business litigation experience
• Prior experience in a midsize or large law firm environment
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Experience drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery
• Experience handling or assisting with depositions, hearings, and court appearances
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong academic credentials
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines
• Entrepreneurial mindset and interest in developing a diverse litigation practice
• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Admission in Pennsylvania or Maryland, depending on office location, or eligibility to become admitted

Compensation

Salary: $140,000 - $220,000 per year

Competitive and commensurate with experience.

Compensation will depend on seniority, litigation background, credentials, and overall fit.
