A respected law firm in Chicago is seeking a talented and driven Commercial Litigation Associate to join its busy litigation team. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and a collaborative mindset to complex commercial disputes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle all phases of commercial litigation, including case strategy, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation
- Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, and correspondence
- Conduct legal research and analysis across a range of industries and disputes
- Participate in client meetings, depositions, mediations, and court appearances
- Support senior attorneys in high-stakes litigation matters and manage junior staff as appropriate
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice in Illinois
- 2–5 years of experience in commercial litigation
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines with efficiency and attention to detail
Salary
Base pay range: $120,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr
Salary Range: $120,000 to $180,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
