Commercial Lines Account ManagerA well-established and growing independent insurance brokerage is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager to support and manage a portfolio of business clients. This role is responsible for managing a book of business, supporting renewals, handling policy changes, and helping clients understand their coverage.Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.Key responsibilities include:Managing day-to-day service needs for a book of commercial insurance clientsCoordinating policy renewals, including gathering updated exposure data, obtaining quotes, and preparing proposalsProcessing policy changes, certificates of insurance, and coverage documentationReviewing contracts and insurance requirements to ensure compliancePreparing and submitting marketing materials when remarketing coverage is neededCommunicating coverage details, policy changes, and billing information clearly to clientsIdentifying opportunities to enhance coverage and reduce client riskResponding to client and internal requests in a timely, professional mannerMaintaining accurate documentation and following established workflows and compliance proceduresSupporting producers as needed, including participation in client meetingsContributing to client retention and overall account growthParticipating in ongoing training and professional developmentRequired qualifications include:Active Property & Casualty insurance license (New Jersey preferred)Minimum of 3+ years of experience in commercial lines account managementStrong communication and interpersonal skillsHigh level of organization and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office and agency management systemsPreferred qualifications include:Bachelor's degreeExperience with Applied Epic or similar systemsProfessional designations such as CISR or CICCompensation and benefits include:Base salary: $65,000 - $95,000 (based on experience)Performance-based bonus opportunityComprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and disability coverage401(k) with employer contribution and additional retirement incentivesPaid time off and flexible scheduling optionsHybrid work environment available after initial onboarding periodThis is a collaborative, team-oriented environment that values professionalism, accountability, and long-term relationship building—both with clients and internally.
