Commercial Leasing Portfolio ManagerCorporate Office - Farmington Hills - Farmington Hills, MI 48331Position OverviewThe Commercial Leasing Portfolio Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial properties and leading the full lifecycle of leasing transactions. This role oversees negotiating and drafting commercial lease agreements, letters of intent, and requests for proposals while managing both client and broker relationships. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong real estate acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage complex deals from initial prospect engagement through execution.This position reports to the Managing Director – Leasing and collaborates closely with Friedman's internal teams (construction, legal, accounting, brokerage, and property management), as well as third-party clients, and external brokers.Key ResponsibilitiesDeal Lifecycle ManagementManage the entire leasing process, including initial broker communication, prospect qualification, proposal development, RFP responses, and lease negotiationLead deal structuring and evaluation of leasing opportunitiesOversee renewals, relocations, and new lease initiatives for assigned portfolioCoordinate with legal teams to review, draft, and negotiate lease documents, amendments, and term sheetsPortfolio & Client Relationship ManagementServe as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring consistent communication and a high level of serviceBuild and maintain strong relationships with brokers, property owners, and tenants to drive deal outcomesQualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree in business, real estate, finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)7+ years of experience in commercial leasing, real estate negotiations, asset management, brokerage, or related commercial real estate rolesDemonstrated experience negotiating lease terms, reviewing legal documents, and understanding core leasing terminologyStrong relationship management skills with the ability to interface effectively with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholdersExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independentlyPreferredLaw degree or paralegal degree/certificateExperience working with third-party clients and managing a portfolio of commercial assetsProficiency with CRM or lease-tracking systemsWhy Join Us• Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits • Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k) • 3+ weeks PTO and 10 paid holidays • Continuing education reimbursement • Referral bonuses and recognition programs Friedman Real Estate is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
