About the Opportunity
Our client, a leader in the Pharmaceutical/Biotech industry, is looking for a skilled Solution Architect (Contractor) – Commercial IT to join their team for a 6-month engagement. This role is a hands-on position focused on scaling commercial applications across multiple therapeutic areas while actively managing support and operations. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running, run projects independently, serve as L2/L3 support, and ensure platform stability as the client expands to new sales teams and affiliates.
Responsibilities & Deliverables
- Serve as the Solution Architect and senior technical resource for Commercial IT platforms, including Veeva CRM, Patient CRM, Grants Management, Publications Management, Veeva PromoMats, and Veeva Align.
- Architect and oversee integrations across commercial systems, data warehouse, Master Data Management (MDM), and downstream analytics platforms.
- Act as L2/L3 technical escalation for complex production incidents (P1–P4) in ServiceNow and drive resolution of critical issues.
- Actively manage day-to-day support operations, partnering with vendors and internal teams to maintain platform stability and performance.
- Run scaling and enhancement projects with minimal supervision, translating launch requirements into compliant technical solutions.
- Apply industry best practices across Commercial and Medical Affairs applications to recommend improvements, optimization strategies, and reusable architecture patterns.
- Ensure all architectural decisions and implementations align with GxP requirements, validation standards, and IT governance.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience supporting pharma commercial applications as a Solution Architect or Senior Technical Lead.
- Deep expertise with Commercial Data Warehousing, Master Data Management (MDM), and ServiceNow in regulated GxP environments.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and run projects with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills with technical and business stakeholders.
