Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent technical training.
- 3-5+ years of commercial HVAC experience preferred.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing commercial HVAC equipment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical HVAC systems.
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs.
- Ability to read HVAC equipment documentation, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Basic computer skills and ability to use a CMMS/work-order management system.
- Ability to safely use HVAC diagnostic tools and electrical test equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a facilities team.
- Strong communication and customer-service skills.
Certifications / Licenses
Required or Preferred depending on facility requirements:
- EPA Section 608 Universal Certification - Required
- State/local HVAC license - Preferred or Required where applicable
- OSHA 10/30 - Preferred
- EPA refrigerant certification - Required
- Boiler/chiller certification - Preferred
- Building Automation System (BAS/BMS) training - Preferred
