CommercialFinance & Analyst
Position Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Commercial Analyst to support the Sales and Finance functions by providing data-driven insights into sales performance, revenue, profitability, forecasting, and commercial decision-making.
The role will act as a key link between Sales and Finance , ensuring accurate and consistent commercial data while identifying trends, risks, and opportunities that can improve business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Track and analyze sales performance, pipeline, revenue, and target attainment across products, clients, and regions.
- Develop and maintain sales forecasts, revenue projections, and commercial models to support business planning.
- Partner with the Finance team on budgeting, financial planning, variance analysis, and profitability analysis.
- Analyze margin and profitability by product, client, geography, and business segment.
- Prepare and maintain weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales and commercial reports for leadership.
- Build and maintain dashboards and performance trackers to provide visibility into key commercial metrics.
- Identify trends, performance gaps, risks, and growth opportunities through analysis of commercial and sales data.
- Monitor sales pipeline health, conversion rates, revenue realization, and forecast accuracy.
- Work closely with Sales teams to validate data, understand business drivers, and improve reporting accuracy.
- Act as a liaison between Sales, Finance, and other business functions to ensure data consistency and alignment.
- Support management with ad-hoc analysis, business cases, scenario modelling, and commercial insights .
- Develop and improve reporting processes, models, and analytical frameworks to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of sales, revenue, forecasting, budgeting, and profitability concepts .
- Advanced Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets skills, including data analysis, pivot tables, lookups, and financial modelling.
- Experience with BI and dashboarding tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets.
- Ability to translate complex data into clear business insights and recommendations .
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with both Sales and Finance teams .
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Commerce, Data Analytics, or a related field .
- 25 years of experience in Commercial Analytics, Sales Analytics, FP&A, Business Analytics, Revenue Operations, or a similar role.
- Experience working with sales data, financial data, forecasting, and management reporting .
- Experience in a B2B, technology, SaaS, or enterprise environment would be an advantage.
