Role Summary
A commercial technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Summit Broadband's cable television, internet, and telephone services for business customers. You will be employed by our company, Aspire Communications, working as a subcontractor for Summit Broadband. We're looking for a lead to step in and help lead our commercial team!
The specific job duties of a Summit Broadband Commercial cable technician may include:
Responsibilities:
Day-to-Day Communication and Coordination:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for communication with the summit management team.
- Coordinate and assign tasks to internal technicians, ensuring effective job distribution and completion.
- Monitor and document project and job information, including tracking technicians' daily hours.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of project status and job completion
- Act as the main point of contact for internal technicians, providing troubleshooting support and resolving technical issues.
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of cable television, internet, and telephone equipment at customer locations.
- Perform cable splicing, termination, and system testing to verify performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and repair any issues with the cable system to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide technical support to customers experiencing service issues, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Maintain inventory of necessary supplies and equipment.
- Order supplies as needed to ensure operational efficiency.
- Provide training and guidance to technicians and staff, fostering skills development and adherence to best practices.
- Stay informed about new technologies and industry developments.
- Implement necessary upgrades or changes to improve the cable system and service delivery.
- Frequently travel to the Lakeland and Tampa areas for installations and support.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience in cable system installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to bend, squat, lift.

- Proficiency in technical support and customer service.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly.
Salary Description
$20-$25/hr
