Position Overview

We are seeking a Project Manager/Estimator with 3-5 years of experience in commercial drywall estimating and project management. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and project leadership. The ideal candidate will have experience with OnCenter and Quickbid software and will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. We are looking for a go-getter who is eager to grow with the company, with a preference for candidates with a degree in Construction Management or similar fields, although this is not a strict requirement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform precise takeoffs and estimates for drywall, metal stud, and acoustical ceiling projects.
  • Develop comprehensive material and labor cost estimates.
  • Maintain and build relationships with vendors to secure competitive material pricing.
  • Participate in bid reviews with project teams and supervisors.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and client relationships to ensure successful project execution.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the scope of work, project goals, and deadlines are met.
  • Use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address project challenges and ensure high-quality delivery.
  • Oversee contract negotiations, scope inclusions/exclusions, and handle project management duties from start to finish.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 3-5 years in commercial drywall project management.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or relevant work experience preferred.
  • Software Proficiency: Knowledge of OnCenter and Quickbid (or similar estimation software) is required.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of reading blueprints, specs, and drawings, with an ability to visualize building techniques, including load-bearing applications.
  • Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Team Player: Works well in a collaborative environment and fosters strong customer service relationships.
  • Work Ethic: A motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic, capable of working independently while meeting deadlines.

  • Experience managing commercial drywall projects from initial bid to project completion.
  • Ability to adapt and grow with a dynamic team.
  • An understanding of project workflows in education, healthcare, hospitality, and office environments.
