Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a commercial lines department of approximately six to seven professionals.
- Oversee day-to-day servicing activities to ensure responsive, accurate, and high-quality client support.
- Direct commercial lines remarketing efforts, including reviewing coverage needs and evaluating market options.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and performance management to department team members.
- Leverage both carrier and agency experience to strengthen workflows, client relationships, and placement strategies.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and senior leadership on departmental priorities and business objectives.
- Maintain strong knowledge of commercial property and casualty products, markets, and service standards.
Must-Have Skills:
- Approximately 15 years of combined carrier and agency experience.
- Extensive experience handling commercial lines insurance exclusively.
- Strong knowledge of commercial property and casualty insurance.
- Proven leadership experience managing and developing a team.
- Hands-on experience overseeing commercial servicing and remarketing activities.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in both agency and carrier environments.
- Commercial Insurance Consultant (CIC) designation.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Willingness to pursue the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.
- Experience improving departmental processes and operational efficiency.
- Strong communication and relationship-management skills.
- Experience partnering with senior leadership on commercial insurance strategy.
- Ability to work successfully in an on-site team environment.
