Commercial Contracts AttorneyA global professional services association seeks an experienced Commercial Contracts Attorney for a long-term, temporary assignment with the potential for permanent conversion. The position is hybrid in New York City: three days onsite; two days remote. Start date is immediate and the hourly rate is $60-$80, depending upon experience.Primary Duties:The Commercial Contracts Attorney will review, structure, negotiate and draft a variety of general and specialized agreements necessary for the day-to-day operations of a cutting-edge global science and technology non-profit organization.
Agreements include MSAs, NDAs. SOWS, licensing, venue/space agreements, vendor contracts, publishing, IT, and consulting agreements. This role functions as an intermediate individual contributor in a dynamic business environment.
Additional duties include the following:Provides advice and counsel, negotiates, and drafts both domestic and international commercial, business and operational contractsUses and modifies standard forms and templates from a robust internal forms library in the marketing, publishing, education, technical conference and membership operations of the organizationDevelops and incorporates the implementation of new technology solutions (such as, but not limited to, contract management systems)Provides training on issues relating to commercial law, contract formation and other legal subjectsProvides general legal advice to various departments within the organizationCollaborates on additional legal projects of interestRequirements:Doctor of Jurisprudence from a national law schoolMember in good standing of a U.S. bar4+ years providing commercial legal advice, contract drafting, negotiation and review experienceIn-house corporate or law firm experience preferred ?????Ability to manage large volumes of commercial contract review with consistency, accuracy, and attention to detailFrink-Hamlett Legal Solutions is an equal employment opportunity employer and all applicants will receive consideration for employment without discrimination based on race, color, creed, national origin, sex, age, disability, marital status, sexual orientation or citizenship status.
