This position will report to Nash Plumbing and Mechanical, LLC, a subsidiary of HB Global.
HB Global, LLC is seeking a skilled Commercial Construction Welder to join our team, responsible for performing various welding tasks on commercial construction projects according to specifications and safety standards.
Responsibilities:**
* Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding procedure specifications (WPS).
* Specifically for this position, the ability to weld steel pipe, schedule 40
* Fabricate and assemble structural metal products, such as framework or shells for machinery, tanks, and other commercial structures.
* Cut, grind, and prepare metal surfaces for welding.
* Operate and maintain welding equipment, including welders, torches, grinders, and other power tools.
* Inspect welds for quality and adherence to specifications, performing repairs as needed.
* Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
* Collaborate with other tradespeople and project managers to ensure efficient project completion.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area.
* Troubleshoot welding issues and perform minor equipment maintenance.
Qualifications:**
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Completion of a recognized welding program or apprenticeship.
* Proven experience as a Commercial Construction Welder, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
* 6G certified or the ability to obtain 6G certification
* Proficient in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, Stick, and FCAW.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols accurately.
* Strong understanding of welding safety procedures and best practices.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced construction environment.
* Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
* Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
* Reliable transportation to various job sites.
