We are seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager to oversee projects from planning through completion. This position will coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, clients, and other project stakeholders while maintaining a strong focus on budget, schedule, quality, and successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction/planning through closeout
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts
- Coordinate subcontractor and vendor activities
- Manage procurement, buyout, and material requirements
- Review and process RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other project documentation
- Monitor project costs and identify potential budget or schedule concerns
- Review plans, specifications, contracts, and project requirements
- Partner closely with field leadership to keep projects progressing according to schedule
- Communicate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
- Lead project meetings and provide regular progress updates
- Identify project risks and assist with resolving field, design, and scheduling challenges
- Monitor subcontractor performance and contract compliance
- Support quality control, punch-list activities, and project closeout
- Maintain accurate and organized project records
- Help mentor and develop junior project team members as appropriate
Qualifications
- Previous project management experience within commercial construction
- Experience managing projects for a general contractor strongly preferred
- Background with commercial, healthcare, education, civic/public, or similar construction projects preferred
- Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, contracts, and cost management
- Experience with subcontractor coordination, procurement, and project documentation
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Proficiency with construction project management and scheduling software
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
