Telecommunications Systems Engineer opportunity supporting large, complex facility design projects within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
Position Overview
This role leads the telecom scope on major projects, designing and coordinating:
* Structured cabling systems
* Outside Plant (OSP) and backbone distribution
* Communication room layouts & rack elevations
* Wired & wireless device plans (including DAS / emergency responder radio systems)
* Fully coordinated 3D BIM models using AutoCAD, Revit MEP, SmartPlant & Navisworks
Designs are developed in accordance with TIA, BICSI, NEC (NFPA 70), and industry standards while working closely with architects, engineers, and client stakeholders.
Key Requirements
* 5+ years of telecommunications design experience
* Knowledge of TIA, BICSI practices & NEC (NFPA 70)
* Experience leading telecom design efforts
* Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks & Bluebeam
* Experience with commissioning/start-up and editing specifications
Preferred:
* PE license or BICSI RCDD
