Colorectal Surgeon

CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic at CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital System is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Colorectal Surgeon to join their team on a full-time basis in Corpus Christi, Texas. As part of South Texas's largest hospital network, the provider will join an elite team utilizing advanced surgical techniques and next-generation da Vinci 5 robotic surgical systems. Practice Info

• CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital South is a 200-bed facility located in Corpus Christi, Texas.
• Features a newly expanded Emergency Department, doubled Intensive Care Unit, and a Hospital Outpatient Department (HOPD) with 170 total beds and a 36-bed surgical center.
• Colorectal services are supported by da Vinci 5 robotic surgical systems.
• Colorectal Surgeons work closely with the flagship tertiary referral center, CHRISTUS Spohn Shoreline, for management of higher-acuity cases and complex inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized surgical care for colorectal cancer, diverticulitis, IBD, and anorectal disorders.
• Utilize advanced minimally invasive and robotic-assisted techniques (da Vinci 5).
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic colonoscopies.
• Collaborate within a physician-led dyad leadership model to drive clinical excellence.
• Participate in a specialized colorectal call rotation (no general surgery call required).

Shift & Schedule

• Full Time
• Hospital Employed
• 5 Days - 8 Hours (Monday–Friday)
• Balanced mix of surgical block time and outpatient clinic

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited program.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Colon and Rectal Surgery.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Fellowship in Colon and Rectal Surgery.
• Eligibility for an unrestricted Texas Medical License.
