Colorado Licensed Authorization Representative

To support Patient Access Services, the full-time Colorado Licensed Authorization Representative will perform insurance verification and authorization functions remotely, ensuring compliance with billing requirements and reducing authorization-related denials. Key responsibilities Accurately complete authorization initiation requests with payers and validate existing authorizations for various service lines Provide necessary information regarding authorizations to appropriate staff and maintain records of all referral activity Respond to provider orders for tests and procedures, obtaining necessary authorizations while staying current on payor requirements Required qualifications High school diploma or GED required Minimum of three years of experience in healthcare insurance and/or authorizations Basic knowledge of CPT and ICD codes Proficiency in common office software, including word processing and spreadsheets Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision
