Role Description

KITE is seeking knowledgeable and motivated college tutors to join our growing online tutoring marketplace.

This is a flexible, independent tutoring opportunity where tutors can offer academic support to college students and individuals preparing for graduate or professional education.

Unlike traditional tutoring positions, KITE allows tutors to establish their own rates, manage their availability, and determine which subjects and services they wish to offer.

Tutors may provide virtual or in-person sessions based on their preferences and availability.

Tutoring opportunities include:

* College-level courses: Biology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, English, and more.

* Entrance exam preparation: MCAT, LSAT, DAT, GRE, and other standardized examinations.

* Academic support: Study strategies, exam preparation, and subject-specific guidance.

* Admissions services: Personal statement assistance, application reviews, and interview preparation.

Compensation & Benefits

You set your own hourly rates. KITE uses a commission-based marketplace model rather than a fixed hourly wage.

* Standard Tutor Commission: 15% per completed paid session.

* Founding Tutor Offer: 10% commission for the first 50 approved tutors during their first six months following approval.

* No Subscription Fees: Creating and maintaining a tutor account is free.

* Flexible Scheduling: Choose your own availability and session lengths.

* No Payment Processing Costs: KITE covers processing fees from its commission.

* Recurring Earnings Opportunities: Build relationships with students and offer repeat tutoring sessions.

* Tutor Dashboard: Manage bookings, schedules, messages, and earnings from one platform.

For example, if you charge $75 for a tutoring session:

* Standard Tutor: Earn $63.75.

* Founding Tutor: Earn $67.50 during the promotional period.

Tutor payouts become eligible after sessions are successfully completed.

Qualifications

* Strong knowledge of at least one college-level academic subject or professional entrance examination.

* Current college students, graduate students, and degree holders are encouraged to apply.

* Previous tutoring, teaching, or mentoring experience is preferred but not required.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to explain challenging academic concepts clearly.

* Dependable, professional, and committed to student success.

* Comfortable conducting sessions through virtual learning platforms or in person.
