College of Fine Arts and Communication - Part-Time, Fixed-Term Faculty

Position Summary: The College of Fine Arts and Communication seeks short‑term, fixed‑term faculty (.74 FTE or less) for one or more semesters during the upcoming academic year. Eligible titles include Teaching Instructor, Senior Teaching Instructor, Master Teaching Instructor, Teaching Assistant Professor, Teaching Associate Professor, Teaching Professor, Research Instructor, Research Assistant Professor, Research Associate Professor, and Research Professor.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver undergraduate or graduate courses in the assigned discipline.
  • Develop curriculum and teaching materials aligned with program objectives.
  • Assess student learning and provide constructive feedback.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to faculty governance.
  • Engage in scholarly or creative activities consistent with the faculty position.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in the teaching discipline for undergraduate courses or terminal degree for graduate courses.
  • Relevant professional experience, certifications, honors, or awards that demonstrate expertise in the discipline.
  • All education must be from an accredited institution or proven equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced research or creative experience demonstrated through publications, performances, exhibitions, or other scholarly products.
  • Prior teaching experience in a higher education environment.
