Collections Specialist

Pay: Up to $25/hr

Employment: Full-Time, Permanent

We’re hiring a Collections Specialist to join a growing banking/financial services team. This is a great opportunity for someone with 1+ year of experience in collections, loan servicing, credit administration, or banking who wants a long-term opportunity.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage delinquent consumer loan accounts through inbound and outbound calls
• Work with borrowers to understand payment issues and determine appropriate solutions
• Set up approved payment arrangements, extensions, hardship programs, and other assistance options
• Explain account balances, payments, loan terms, and available options
• Accurately document borrower conversations, payment commitments, and follow-up actions
• Monitor accounts and follow established collection and escalation processes
• Identify accounts requiring special handling, including bankruptcy, fraud, disputes, SCRA, or legal review
• Perform approved skip tracing and contact research when needed
• Meet established productivity, quality, and portfolio performance expectations

What We’re Looking For:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ year of experience in consumer loan collections, loan servicing, credit administration, banking, or a related financial services role
• Understanding of consumer loans and delinquent account management
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Comfortable discussing payments and financial situations professionally and respectfully
