The Cold Forming Operator is responsible for safely operating Cold Forming equipment, producing high-quality components, performing inspections, and supporting daily production goals. This is a full-time opportunity Monday thru Friday starting at $23.00.Cold Header Operator Benefits:Shift premiums starting at 7%Comprehensive on-the-job-trainingYearly company-wide profit sharingTuition reimbursement programSafety shoe and glasses reimbursementMedical, vision, and dental, 401K retirement, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Short/Long term disability, paid time off, paid holidays, life insurance, paid uniformsEmployee development and opportunities for training and growth within the companyCold Header Operator Qualifications:High School diploma or GEDWillingness to learnMechanical aptitudeAt least 3 year of experience operating machines; cold forming machinery experience highly preferredAbility to meet all post offer testing requirements including background check and drug screenCold Header Operator Primary Responsibilities:Receive training from lead person and engineering on how to interpret machine prints and product dimension specification for productionSafely operate Cold Forming machines and production equipmentOperate 2 to 6 station heading machinesPerform machine set-ups operation, and shutdown procedures and diameter changesMonitor equipment performance and identify process abnormalities.Maintain production output while meeting quality and customer requirements.Follow work instructions, production schedules, and process documentationMaintain accurate production and quality records.Perform first piece, last piece, and in-process inspectionsComplete required quality documentation and production system entries.Load and identify production materials according to specificationsEnter data in production system for quality trackingPerform machine adjustments and maintenance as neededFirst and last piece inspectionsOccasionally lift up to 50 poundsMust follow safe work practices and report safety concernsIs committed to cleanliness, preventive maintenance and proper use of assigned equipmentMust attend training/classes for cold forming technology, quality, safety and othersSFS Group is a global, Swiss-owned company with a unique culture centered on learning and teamwork.
