This role encompasses both enterprise platform-related processes and business implementation processes within the context of local government operations.Key Responsibilities:Define and document processes for data pipeline and storage developmentVerify implemented processes meet requirements and best practicesDevelop enterprise-level processes for data management and utilizationCreate and maintain documentation for IT policies and proceduresDesign and implement reporting systems for various municipal departmentsBridge the gap between IT and non-technical municipal stakeholdersAnalyze and optimize existing processes for efficiency and complianceRequired Skills and Qualifications:Senior level expertise in Business Analysis with a focus on data systemsStrong background in enterprise process developmentIn-depth understanding of IT policies and their implementationProficiency in creating and managing reporting systemsExperience with data pipeline and storage technologiesExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong communication skills, both written and verbalAdditional Skills Related to Municipal Government:Understanding of local government structures and processesKnowledge of public sector compliance and regulatory requirementsExperience with government-specific software and data management systemsFamiliarity with open data initiatives and transparency in governmentUnderstanding of budgeting and financial reporting in public sectorKnowledge of citizen engagement processes and data-driven decision makingAwareness of smart city technologies and their implementationExperience with grant management and reporting systemsUnderstanding of geographic information systems (GIS) and their applications in local governmentPreferred Qualifications:Relevant experience in Business Analysis or Public AdministrationExperience working in or consulting for municipal governmentsFamiliarity with procurement processes in the public sectorKnowledge of data privacy laws specific to government entitiesKnowledge and/or Experience in data management and the Snowflake platform.Location Requirements:Must reside within 2 hours of downtown Houston and able to work onsite > 50% of time.
