Contract Developer PositionPartnering with a firm to find a contract developer. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in data analytics with specialized skills in Cognos Analytics, extensive experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and proficiency in Python, scripting, and PowerShell. This role involves working closely with the data analytics team to develop and implement data models, perform complex data analysis, and create actionable insights to drive strategic decisions.Responsibilities:Maintain and enhance the Data Protection Business Intelligence toolDevelop and maintain advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards, and other BI solutions using Cognos Analytics.Design, implement, and automate ETL processes with source data coming from DBs (SQL and Oracle), CSV files and Splunk to enhance the data warehouse's reliability and efficiency.Integrate new data feeds into the DPBI tool, ensuring seamless data flow and enhanced reporting capabilities.Utilize Python for data analysis, modeling, automation tasks, and integration activities to support data-driven decision-making across the organization.Write and maintain scripts in Python and PowerShell to automate data processing, workflow tasks, and support data protection related control enhancements.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs, gather requirements, and deliver scalable data solutions.Ensure data accuracy and integrity by implementing quality controls and validation processes.Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and methodologies in data science, machine learning, analytics, and data protection.Contribute to the development of best practices for data management, data governance, analytics, and data protection within the organization.Assist in the evaluation and implementation of products and/or procedures to enhance security.Review requests for new systems or changes to existing systems and evaluate the impact to security.Deploy and monitor additional security products and tools or enhancements to existing tools.Monitor daily reports to ensure the effectiveness of new and existing security technology.Qualifications:Bachelor's degreeExperience with Cognos AnalyticsExperience with platforms: Windows environment, Exchange, Office365Experience with data analytics technologies as well as analytical and dimensional modelingExperience with Business IntelligenceExperience with Power AutomateExperience in coding/scripting with Python and PowershellExperience with SplunkExperience with SQLAdept networking and system administration abilitiesExperience in developing solutions in a Windows environment and for Microsoft products (Office365, Exchange etc.)Experience in developing, implementing and managing Data Warehouse solutionRequired Skills: Cognos.
