Sanford Health is seeking a BC/BE Neurologist with fellowship training in Cognitive Neurology for Alzheimer's and Dementia to join their growing team. This role offers the opportunity to craft a clinical practice focused on areas of interest within an outpatient setting. Practice Info

  • Join a group of experienced neurologists with focus on general neurology as well as various specialty interests.
  • Outpatient practice only.
  • Sanford Neurology group has two dedicated neuro-hospitalists and three stroke specialists who provide inpatient hospital coverage.
  • Sanford Clinic Neurology currently serves as neurology faculty for the USD Sanford School of Medicine.
  • Sanford Neurology residency began July 2023.

Responsibilities

  • Perform history and physical examination.
  • Provide consultative services.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and provide nonsurgical care to patients of all ages presenting with illnesses, injuries, and disorders of the neurologic system.

Requirements

  • BC/BE Neurologist with fellowship training in Cognitive Neurology for Alzheimer's and Dementia.
  • M.D. or D.O. degree.
  • Successful completion of a Neurology residency program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada.
  • Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable.
  • If not board certified at the time of application but completed residency within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of residency training.
