Working full-time onsite, the Coding Quality Specialist - Texas Licensed will perform internal coding reviews, facilitate coding education, and collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance and accuracy in coding practices for both inpatient and outpatient settings. Key responsibilities: Facilitate and complete inpatient and outpatient coding reviews while maintaining a 95% accuracy rate Communicate findings to support training and education, including developing review plans and feedback for coding staff Collaborate with the Coding Integrity Department to create resources that enhance coder knowledge and identify areas for improvement Required qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent experience required; completion of an accredited Baccalaureate Health Informatics or Health Information Management program preferred Five or more years of inpatient and/or outpatient HB coding experience in an acute care setting preferred Certification as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Outpatient Coder (COC), or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) required
