To enhance coding accuracy and compliance, the full-time remote Coding Quality Specialist will monitor and improve coding processes, develop quality assurance programs, and provide education and training to healthcare professionals. Key responsibilities Develop and implement coding quality assurance programs to evaluate accuracy and compliance of medical coding practices Analyze medical records and documentation to assess adequacy and specificity supporting assigned codes Foster effective communication with healthcare providers and coders to address coding-related inquiries and resolve issues Required qualifications Associate's Degree in Medical Billing and Coding 5+ years of medical coding experience 1+ years of quality assurance experience preferred Advanced knowledge of medical coding systems, including ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS Strong understanding of coding guidelines and regulations set by organizations like the AMA and CMS
