Coating Machine OperatorPGS Worldwide is seeking a Coating Machine Operator in Santa Rosa, CA for a one-year onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.The Coating Machine Operator will operate production coating equipment, prepare and inspect parts, perform in-process measurements, and support routine machine maintenance. This hands-on role requires production machine experience, mechanical aptitude, basic computer skills, and the ability to follow detailed operating and safety procedures.Required SkillsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Previous experience working with production machines.Experience using hand tools such as hand drills, orbital sanders, and grinders.Ability to operate coating equipment or learn coating processes through on-the-job training.Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Basic math skills.Intermediate computer skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.Ability to perform data entry, operate computer-controlled equipment, and generate reports.Ability to work independently and follow precise instructions.Strong attention to detail and ability to adapt to process changes.Ability to obtain a security clearance.Ability to wear a respirator and complete required respirator-fit and spirometry testing.Ability to remain on feet for approximately 80% of the shift.Ability to frequently lift or move up to 38 lbs. and occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 45 lbs.Ability to work any listed shift.Preferred SkillsPrevious coating or related manufacturing experience.One-year certificate from a college or technical school.Strong mechanical or electrical troubleshooting skills.What You'll DoOperate production coating machines.Clean, inspect, and load parts into coating chambers.Perform in-process measurements on coated materials.Assemble and disassemble coating equipment.Perform bead blasting and coating-target changes.Use grinders and other small hand tools.Support basic equipment troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance.Move between tasks and production platforms as operational needs change.Maintain accurate production and measurement records.Perform workplace housekeeping and maintain a safe work area.Complete additional production duties as assigned.Work Schedule / ShiftMonday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM.Monday–Thursday, 1:00 PM–11:30 PM.Monday–Thursday, 9:00 PM–7:30 AM.Friday–Sunday, 6:00 AM–6:30 PM.Pay$22.00–$27.00 per hour
