Coast seeks Technical Solutions Engineer to make the API demo behave

Coast is hiring a full-time Technical Solutions Engineer for its New York office, working directly with its founders. It wants frontend, API and JavaScript experience, and lists a bachelor’s degree. The work includes building proof-of-concepts before sales, then helping customers through onboarding, training and technical issues. Coast makes visual API previews for customer-facing teams. In short, somebody has to make the demo behave before the meeting does.## Job details**Company**Coast### Full job descriptionAbout the role We’re looking for an experienced customer-facing solutions engineer with frontend dev experience to join us as we build the backbone of technical sales. In this role, you’ll need to think critically about our customers’ goals and understand the Coast platform inside and out. By keeping a lean team, we’ve been able to move fast and want to keep it that way with high performers that take pride in their work. The role will work directly with our Founders and alongside our team in-person in our NYC office. About you - You work hard. You’re excited to roll up your sleeves, build something you’re proud of and take ownership. - You are excited to become an expert on API-first companies and their sales motions (if you are not already). - You’re customer obsessed and will do whatever it takes to ensure they are successful with our platform. - You’ve been a frontend developer previously and have an intimate understand of HTML, CSS, JS - Bonus: you’ve worked at an API-first company previously Who this is not a fit for - You can’t work hard right now. - You need a structure in place that you can follow to do your job successfully. - You’re not excited about helping sales and solutions teams at API companies. You won’t be able to succeed in this role unless you love our customers and truly want to help them. What will you do - Become a Coast subject matter expert addressing questions, concerns and requests - Build technical PoCs for our prospective customers pre-sale - Help support onboarding, training and technical solutioning post-sale - Have a deep understanding of customers' technical challenges and help solve them with Coast’s platform - Identify product gaps and opportunities based on customer needs for our roadmap Requirements - Located in New York and able to work in office - Experience with frontend development, APIs and Javascript - Bachelor’s degree
