Our client in Albuquerque, NM, has an immediate opening for a Co-Store Manager on a direct-hire basis.

Co-Store Manager

  • Partner closely with the Store Manager to oversee all aspects of store operations, including sales, merchandising, and customer service
  • Lead, coach, and develop team members to achieve performance goals and maintain a positive, high-energy work environment
  • Demonstrate strong business acumen with accountability for store profitability, including P&L management, labor control, and expense oversight
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels through effective forecasting, ordering, and shrink control practices
  • Ensure accurate inventory management, product rotation, and freshness standards across all departments
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure product quality, timely deliveries, and cost efficiency
  • Champion a culture centered around food knowledge, quality, and customer engagement
  • Monitor and enforce all health, safety, and sanitation regulations in compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines
  • Support merchandising initiatives, including product displays, promotions, and seasonal offerings
  • Utilize data and reporting tools to analyze store performance and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Assist in recruiting, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management of store staff
  • Maintain a highly organized store environment with a focus on operational efficiency and presentation standards

Co-Store Manager Background Profile:

  • 3+ years of leadership experience in grocery retail, specialty foods, or a related retail environment
  • Strong knowledge of specialty food products and a genuine passion for the culinary space
  • Proven experience managing inventory, labor, and financial performance (P&L responsibility preferred)
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills
  • Experience in vendor relations and supply chain coordination
  • Solid understanding of health, safety, and food handling regulations
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in retail systems, POS platforms, and Microsoft Office tools
  • Background in specialty or gourmet grocery environments
  • Experience with high-volume or multi-department store operations
