Job Description Job Description About the Role: FUNDAMENTALS Child Development Center in Goldsboro, NC is looking for a passionate and driven Co-Director to help lead our team in providing exceptional early childhood education. Responsibilities:

• Co-lead daily operations of the child development center alongside the Director
• Supervise, mentor, and support classroom teachers and childcare staff
• Ensure compliance with NC childcare licensing regulations and health and safety standards
• Assist in developing and implementing age-appropriate early childhood curriculum
• Build and maintain positive relationships with families, staff, and the community
• Assist with staff scheduling, hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations
• Monitor and maintain program quality, accreditation standards, and enrollment goals

Requirements:

• Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred
• Previous experience in a childcare leadership or supervisory role
• Knowledge of NC Division of Child Development and Early Education (DCDEE) licensing requirements
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Current or ability to obtain required childcare certifications and background clearances
• CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
• Warm, nurturing demeanor with a genuine passion for early childhood development
