Meade, MD.The CNO Software Developer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining advanced cyberspace capabilities.

This role supports the full software development lifecycle for secure, mission?critical applications used in cyber operations. The developer will work in a classified environment to translate operational requirements into technical solutions, design software architectures, implement secure code, and deliver capabilities that meet mission objectives while maintaining strict security and performance standards.What You'll DoDefine project scope, mission objectives, timelines, and deliverables for advanced cyber capability developmentGather, analyze, and prioritize stakeholder requirements within classified environmentsIdentify, assess, and mitigate risks, vulnerabilities, and technical constraints throughout developmentEstimate development effort, resource needs, and time requirements for complex capability buildsProduce detailed design documents, prototypes, and architectural diagramsDesign and implement diverse software architectures including microservices, monolithic systems, and event?driven architecturesDevelop conceptual, logical, and physical software models aligned with mission requirementsEnsure designs meet operational, performance, and security requirements for cyber operationsWrite, test, debug, and refine code in multiple programming languagesPackage proof?of?concept code into multi?stage executables used for cyber effects and operationsImplement secure coding standards and security best practices throughout all development stagesProduce comprehensive technical documentation to support maintenance, modification, and operational useConduct vulnerability assessments and ensure compliance with cybersecurity, operational, and regulatory standardsDevelop and execute unit, integration, system, and acceptance tests to validate code quality and mission readinessImplement configuration management processes governing software code, builds, and artifactsValidate software performance in operationally representative environmentsWhat You'll Need5 years of software development experience with a focus on secure, mission?critical applicationsProficiency in one or more programming languages, including: Python, C, C++,.NET, Java, Bash scriptingExperience with operating systems such as Linux, Windows, Android, iOS, or real?time operating systemsExperience with cryptography, hashing, network protocols, and/or Wi?Fi protocolsBonus Points If You HaveBachelor's degree in technical fieldMaster's degree in a relevant technical fieldExperience supporting DoD or Intelligence Community missionsKnowledge of cyber operations concepts, requirements, and operational workflowsExperience with DevSecOps pipelines, automation tools, and secure build practicesUnderstanding of networking devices, infrastructure, and distributed systemsAbility to develop multi?stage executables for cyber operationsStrong analytical, problem?solving, and communication skillsAbility to work effectively within classified environments and cross?functional cyber teamsClearanceMust possess an active TS/SCI with polygraph level security clearance
