CNC ProgrammerAs a CNC Programmer on the Stamping Team, you are responsible for machining the most complex components of the dies and working with engineers to improve die designs from a machining standpoint. In addition, you work with engineers to push the boundaries of machining technologies and develop better methods, tools, and programming practices aimed at reducing die costs and lead times while improving final quality.ResponsibilitiesProgram 5-axis CNC Mills in a low-volume / high-mix workflowPrepare operator documents and prove out programs on the floor with machinistsWork closely with engineers to provide crucial input on design for manufacturabilityMachine complex components to tight tolerances in various materials with tight deadlinesUse various inspection and measurement tools to validate your workTracking and documentation of machining processes and results when necessaryProvide feedback to engineers, other machinists and programmers on design and process improvementRequirements10+ years of CNC mill programming experience4+ years of 5 axis programming experienceProficient with basic shop tools and machines (manual mill, engine lathe, drill press, bandsaw, belt sanders, hand tools etc.)Experience with Heidenhain CNC controlsExperience machining dies (HP diecasting, stampings, injection molding etc.)CAD experience with CATIA V5 (basic navigation, model manipulation, and simple modeling)
