CNC ProgrammerOur site in Cudahy, WI is seeking a motivated CNC Programmer. In this role, you will prepare programs for CNC machine tools using computer systems, manual programming, or direct entry. If you are looking for an exciting work environment filled with meaningful projects and the opportunity to grow and develop, we'd love to hear from you.As a CNC Programmer, you will:Analyze part drawings to determine optimal machining methods.Transfer part geometry from server to CAD/CAM software packagesSelection of proper tools, cutting speeds, and feed rates dependent upon material, tooling, and machineAssist in the maintenance of required paperwork such as set-up sheets and hard copies.Download and upload programs into various pieces of equipment.Participate in cross functional teams to address and resolve manufacturing problems and to ensure the continuous, ongoing improvement of processes and methods to improve productivity and quality and reduce costs.Perform "prove out" of new manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, fixtures, etc., including compliance to quality specifications.Follow all housekeeping rules.
Comply with all safety and quality regulations.Required Education, Experience, & Skills:Requires five to seven years of CNC or program-related experienceAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general technical periodicals, professional journals, blueprints, schematics, drawings, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, vendors, customers, and coworkers.Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and statistical process controls.Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.Requires the knowledge and ability to use computers and the appropriate software, the ability to operate a variety of small hand tools and precision measuring devicesAble to reliably communicate manufacturing plans, proposals, and results, and discuss options at management levelsThis role is based fully onsite, and not eligible for hybrid or remote work opportunities.
