Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Programmer role in Phoenix, AZ. Key Responsibilities
* Develop, modify, and maintain software used in manufacturing automation, production equipment, and facility operations.
* Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and automated systems to ensure smooth and efficient production.
* Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to identify system requirements and implement technical solutions.
* Conduct system testing, debugging, and validation to ensure reliability and compliance with facility standards.
* Integrate new equipment, sensors, and controls into existing production lines.
* Document code changes, system configurations, and technical procedures accurately.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and reduce downtime.
* Provide technical support during equipment installations, upgrades, and preventative maintenance.
* Promptly report any equipment malfunctions, software issues, or safety concerns to supervisors.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field; equivalent experience in manufacturing automation accepted.
* Experience with PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens), HMIs, SCADA systems, or industrial control systems.
* Proficiency in programming languages such as ladder logic, structured text, Python, or C#.
* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, industrial equipment, and automation workflows.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
* Strong teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment and adapt to changing priorities.
* Knowledge of safety regulations, industrial controls, and electrical systems is a plus.
