- Analyze production drawings, CAD models, and work orders to develop, test , and optimize CNC programs, ensuring accurate dimensions and efficient production cycles.
- Utilize CAD/CAM software (AutoCAD, Rhino, Alphacam & CAM software) to translate designs into machine-readable code.
- Determine, select, and manage appropriate cutting tools, speeds and feed rates for wood components.
- Simplify machining time to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Support the shop with technical questions and troubleshooting.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Supervisor and the Production Manager.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering or Computer Science
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a CNC programmer in architectural millwork and casework.
- 5 years' experience in AutoCad. xzgxqkn
- 5 years' experience in Rhino
- 5 years' experience in Alphacam or other CAM software
- Experience with Homag CNC machines is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Must be able to work overtime when needed
- Highly motivated with the ability to work with minimum supervision
