Job TitleSalary $33 to $45 per hour DOE. Several factors are considered when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role responsibilities, candidate's work experience, skills and education.Brief DescriptionSuccessful candidate will provide programs for all C.N.C. equipment within PSI Bearings to ensure that jobs are manufactured as planned.

This position is located in Simi Valley, CA.Key AccountabilitiesReduce scrap and non-conformances through training and improved process controlImprove sales OTD through training, set-up reduction, and process improvementsWorks within the M.E. Department and provides programs for C.N.C. equipment.Reviews planning and blue prints for operation requirements and writes programs to complete each operation utilizing MasterCam.Will use knowledge of machines, technique and tooling to provide the most efficient manner of manufacture.

Work as a team player with the other members of the department.Standardize tooling and programs as much as possible to facilitate pre-set tooling. Optimize programs to improve cycle times thru continuous improvement efforts.Design tooling and fixturesTrouble shoot machine and part problemsCreate job set up sheets describing tooling/inserts for operator setupsParticipate in LEAN initiative and engage Six Sigma tools for process improvementsBring new ideas and positive support to the current processInterface with suppliers and internal customers in an effective mannerAssure that manufacturing engineering technical data is complete and accurately documented to provide an accurate technical/historical base for future reference that meet customer requirementsDesirable Experience, Capabilities and Success FactorsBS Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Aeronautical, Industrial, Materials Engineering5+ years experience with most phases of prototype or small batch aerospace precision machining processes including:Experience and knowledge of manufacturing processes and cutting toolsFixture designExperience and knowledge of in-process and final inspection tools and methodsBasic knowledge of special processesBasic knowledge of quality management systems (AS9100)Ability to perform root cause and permanent corrective actionAbility to perform multi-task managementStrong interpersonal and leadership skillsStrong oral and written communication skillsStrong project and team leadershipExperience with Solidworks and MasterCam is requiredExperience with Lean, Six Sigma is preferredExperience with machine tool setup and documentation is requiredRestrictions imposed by federal export control laws may limit this job opportunity to candidates who are a 'U.S. Person', which includes U.S.
