CNC Programmer (CAM)Location: Houston, TX on-site Full-time, On sitePOSITION SUMMARYWe are working with a Houston-area manufacturing company, and seeking a high-level CNC Programmer to develop and optimize multi-axis machining programs for complex, tight-tolerance components. The ideal candidate translates 3D models and drawings into efficient, reliable tool paths, proves out programs on the floor, and continuously drives down cycle times.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop, post-process, and optimize CNC programs and tool paths using either Mastercam / Esprit / NX CAM / GibbsCAM.Interpret 3D models, engineering drawings, and GD&T to plan machining strategies, fixturing, and tooling.Program multi-axis (3–5 axis) mills and/or lathes and prove out programs at the machine with machinists.Create setup sheets, tool lists, and process documentation.Reduce cycle times and improve efficiency through program and process optimization.Support first-article inspection and troubleshoot machining and quality issues.Collaborate with engineering, quality, and the shop floor to improve manufacturability.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS8+ years of CNC programming experience in a precision machining environment.Proficiency with CAM software (Mastercam / Esprit / NX) and multi-axis programming.Strong CAD model, blueprint, and GD&T interpretation.Solid understanding of tooling, materials, speeds and feeds, and machining strategies.Hands-on machining background sufficient to prove out and edit programs at the control.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS5-axis programming experience and experience with exotic materials (titanium, Inconel, stainless).Experience in an AS9100 / aerospace environment.Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and lean manufacturing principles.
