CNC Programmer and Operator

CNC Programmer & OperatorWe are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer & Operator to develop and operate CNC machinery used to cut, shape, and fabricate custom stone countertops. This role requires strong CNC programming and CAD/CAM skills, attention to detail, and the ability to produce precise, high-quality finished products.The CNC Programmer & Operator will collaborate with design, production, and project teams to ensure accurate fabrication, efficient material usage, and timely completion of projects. The position may also involve visiting job sites to create precise digital or manual templates for custom countertop installations.Key ResponsibilitiesProgram and operate CNC machines to cut, shape, and fabricate stone countertops with precision and accuracy.Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs based on project drawings and specifications.Select appropriate tooling and machining processes for various fabrication requirements.Visit job sites to create accurate digital or manual templates for custom countertop installations.Monitor CNC operations and finished products to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy.Troubleshoot CNC programming, tooling, and production issues and make necessary adjustments.Develop knowledge of stone products, fabrication procedures, equipment, and manufacturing processes.Collaborate with design, production, and leadership teams regarding project requirements and production concerns.Understand production schedules and prioritize work based on project deadlines and customer needs.Participate in production meetings and communicate project status, workflow concerns, and potential issues.Become proficient with manufacturing, production, and scheduling software and systems.Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, quality, and material utilization.Follow OSHA and company safety standards and maintain a clean and organized work environment.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications & Experience3+ years of CNC machine programming and operation experience.CAD/CAM experience required.3-5 years of manufacturing, custom fabrication, machining, or related experience preferred.Breton CNC experience preferred.Stone, granite, countertop, construction, or custom fabrication experience preferred.Strong understanding of CNC programming, machining processes, tooling, and production workflows.Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and design information.Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time-management abilities.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines with limited supervision.Strong verbal and written communication skills with professional workplace etiquette.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and manufacturing-related software.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.Reliable attendance and punctuality.Willingness to learn new skills and cross-train in different areas of shop operations.Positive attitude with a strong commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and safety.BenefitsMedical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceShort-Term and Long-Term Disability BenefitsCompany-Paid Life Insurance401(k) with Company MatchPaid Time Off (PTO)Paid HolidaysCompany-Provided UniformsEmployee Clothing/Workwear ProgramEmployee Appreciation EventsProfessional and Career Development OpportunitiesCollaborative and Professional Work EnvironmentOpportunities for Growth and Advancement
