CNC ProgrammerThe CNC Programmer develops complete machining solutions for precision aluminum components used in the aerospace and defense industries. This position is responsible for planning machining strategies, designing workholding and fixturing, creating CNC programs and setup documentation, and supporting production to ensure safe, efficient, and repeatable manufacturing processes. Successful candidates enjoy solving manufacturing challenges, collaborating across departments, and continuously improving quality and productivity.Essential Duties And Responsibilities:Review customer and internal drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements to develop accurate and efficient machining strategies.Design workholding, fixturing, and custom tooling to support safe, repeatable and efficient CNC machining processes.Develop CNC programs, setup documentation, and associated manufacturing documentation required to support a repeatable manufacturing process.Select cutting tools, machining strategies, and operation sequences to optimize quality, cycle time and manufacturability.Create detailed manufacturing drawings for custom tooling and workholding using SolidWorks.Develop probing routines and macro programs to support machining, inspection, and process automation as required.Support CNC machining operations during setup, prove-out, and production by troubleshooting machining issues and implementing program improvements.Maintain CNC programs, documentation, and revision history in accordance with company standards.Support continuous improvement initiatives through process optimization, legacy program improvements, and cycle time reduction.Collaborate with CNC Machining, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and fellow CNC Programmers to develop robust manufacturing processes and drive successful project execution.Required Experience:3+ years of CNC milling programming using CAM softwareSolidWorks or parametric modeling softwareGD&T interpretation and blueprint readingMicrosoft OfficeProcess planning, setup documentation, and manufacturing documentationStrong verbal and written communicationAbility to work in team environmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot machining processesPreferred Experience:CAMWorks Mazak and FANUC controller experienceAerospace machining experienceCNC Lathe programmingMacro programmingRenishaw probingWhat We Offer:Medical, dental, and vision insuranceGenerous Paid Time Off (PTO)Additional 40 hours of Sick TimePaid Parental LeaveCompetitive 401(k) plan with employer matching contributionsEducation reimbursement program for professional developmentClimate-controlled facilitySubsidized vending and on-site break areasComplimentary coffee and refreshmentsClean, modern work environment with advanced equipment and technologyOpportunities for career growth within a stable, growing aerospace manufacturing organizationAbout Heico:Heico has a history of success.
